Language/Type: Java if/else mod mystery
Author: Stuart Reges (on 2020/10/06)

Consider the following method.

            public static void ifElseMystery(int a, int b) {
                if (a > b || a % 2 == 0) {
                    a++;
                    b--;
                } else if (a % 2 == 1) {
                    b = 0;
                }
                if (b == 0 && b != a) {
                    a = a + 2;
                    b = a - 2;
                }
                System.out.println(a + " " + b);
            }

For each call below, indicate what output is produced.

ifElseMystery(5, 20);
ifElseMystery(42, 42);
ifElseMystery(6, 1);
ifElseMystery(2, 0);
ifElseMystery(7, 10);
ifElseMystery(4, 4);
